• UPGRADE TO SAKAI 11 WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16TH, 7-11AM.

    Sakai 11 features many improvements to the user interface, Gradebook, Tests & Quizzes, and Lessons tools. Here is a document describing changes to Sakai with instructions, and the video below covers some of the improvements in Sakai 11.

     

    When you first log in to the new system, you may need to rearrange your Sakai site tabs. If you have Sakai sites from prior terms, you may notice the order has changed.  This is due to changes to streamline site organization. Instructions are included in the document link, above.

     

    Be sure to clear your web browser cache in order to see all the improvements.

    System Maintenance & Requirements

    Turnitin reserves 9 AM - 1 PM, the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month, for maintenance.  On Twitter, check @TurnitinStatus.

    Sakai will be restarted 3:00AM CT Sundays and be unavailable for 20 minutes thereafter. Additional update or security maintenance may be scheduled. Advance notice will be provided, as possible .

    For Windows or Mac laptops or desktops, use current versions of Firefox or Chrome browsers and Java.  Android or iOS device users should choose Mobile View (see page bottom,) if the normal view doesn't permit full access.

    Sakai adoption at Bradley is at an all-time high with over 76% of all courses using the learning management system.  Some departments are using it for 100% of their courses.  Students are using the system as well, with an average of 70 clicks per individual per course.
